On a recent trip to Tasmania we spent a couple of days in Hobart. What a beautiful city. No wonder it was voted one of the best cities in the world to live. It has everything - gardens, history, entertainment, the harbour, quaint little places as well as some of the most amazing scenery.

Spring Time in the Gardens
Spring time really brought out the colours in the gardens. I was lucky to have the peacock display his amazing feathers. I don't think there is another bird that has such magnificant colours. How lucky are we to have many of these beautiful creatures in the garden.
Spring has also seen the new arrival of many baby chicks - keep an eye out for them - they can be very cheeky. Mum and dad are keeping a careful watch on them - so be careful they just may attack.

Summer at the Gardens
This is a really nice time - make sure you get along to the gardens in summer - this is one of my favourite times to visit.
Tafe Certificate 2 Excursion
As part of our Tafe Certificate 2 class, we visited the beautiful Auburn Japanese Gardens. This gave us the opportunity to use our digital cameras – both the compact and the DSLR. We took photos of the swans, the billabong, the lake and all the other beautiful spots within the gardens.
Our excursion lasted for a couple of hours – and we were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. The blossoms were also out – which looked like a sea of pink along the pathways.
I’d recommend that you get yourself over there and look at the beauty.
Another amazing time to visit is in the Autumn – the colours are just spectactular.
